About vacation and visit to Barcelona
- How did you spend your vacation after intense first part of the season?
- After New Year I started playing football with my friends. I think it’s necessary keep fit during vacation.
- Have you managed to have rest after the first training camp?
- After the first training camp I went to Barcelona with Olexandr Rybka and his family. It’s a beautiful city!
About impressions of the training camp
- Did you ever play so many friendlies within training camps?
- I didn’t. Still game is the best training session. Friendly match is a kind of exam for players.
- What can you say about your physical conditions?
- I feel fine. I cope with physical load rather well.
- Have Dynamo players improved mutual understanding?
- We improve it game by game.
- Will the second winter training camp differ from the first one?
- At the first training camp we paid special attention to physical conditions. Now we can focus on the forthcoming fixtures against Valencia CF.
- Is it difficult to play friendlies taking into account the fatigue?
- At first it was, but we realize that it’s necessary.
About Valencia
- Have you watched any Valencia matches since you got to know that Dynamo will face the Bats within the Europa League playoffs?
- I have. For example I watched Valencia match against Barcelona. They are very good team.
- Are Dynamo able to outplay Valencia?
- There are no invincible teams. Dynamo outplayed Valencia when Artem Kravets scored brace.
About Tremoulinas and competing
- Has Benoit Tremoulinas’ loan move to AS Saint-Etienne afflicted you? He was your competitor for regular starting spot…
- I don’t think that I’ve become first team regular. As for Benoit… He mentioned that he wants to be spotted by France national team head coach. I wish him good luck.
- Was it difficult to compete against Tremoulinas?
- Sure. As Dynamo signed him I was even going to play on loan for another team. Still I decided to stay after the talk with Oleh Blokhin. He’s given me a chance and I try to justify his confidence.
- Who’s your main competitor for the place among first eleven at the moment?
- Andriy Tsurikov and Yevhen Selin can play as left back. Besides we have many versatile performers. I can also play as midfielder.
- Many people state that you are making headway. How do you respond to such comments?
- It’s a pleasure to hear that. Still I don’t think I should rest on my laurels.
- You mentioned that you don’t consider yourself to be the first team regular. Have you changed your opinion?
- I agree with Oleh Blokhin who says that no one has assured regular starting spot. Everyone must work hard.
About Dynamo trainees’ horizons
- Do you feel that it’s time for young performers such as you, Kalytvyntsev and Ryzhuk to approve themselves?
- I think that every player must refine himself to get a chance. Young Ukrainians should have a possibility to work with the main squad to realize what they must aim for.
- Do you follow Kyivans who feature for FC Hoverla Uzhhorod on loan?
- I do. We keep in touch.
