- Players have done well. They didn’t relax after we qualified for the next stage after four matchdays. Everyone realized we must win the group. Today we gained important points for Ukraine. By the way, I congratulate FC Shakhtar Donetsk on the win against Manchester City FC. Now we’ll be supporting FC Zoria Luhansk.
I think our performers looked worthily today. At first they made us anxious, but it all ended well. Now we must play the last UPL game of the year and start preparations for the second part of the season.
- Are Dynamo youngsters reaching certain level of stability?
- Sometimes we praise players too soon. Still if Shaparenko keeps this up he’ll be making headway. The same can be said about Tsyhankov and Shepelev. I hope they’ll benefit Dynamo for years. We’re rebuilding the team. Of course there will be bad games for guys, but wins will inspire them. Youngsters are happy today as they haven’t performed on such level before.
- Domagoj Vida has said goodbye to the NSC Olimpiyskyi. Is that a serious loss for Dynamo?
- Of course it is as Domagoj was our leading player. He’s said goodbye to fans and teammates, but I’ll meet him tomorrow. I’d like to thank Vida. He has a family, so I understand why he wants to earn more money. We couldn’t offer him such contract as Besiktas JK did. He helped us in the first part of the season and we’re thankful for that.
- Today you invited wounded soldiers to watch the game at the sky box. Did they like it?
- They guarantee us peace while several hundred kilometers away the war is on. These warriors defend our Motherland. I know our players help them. So does the club. Before the game I came to their sky box and thanked for what they do for our country and promised to do anything we can for them. It’s great to see they really care about Dynamo. After the match some of them returned to the hospital. My representative will visit them again soon to bring food, clothes, medicines etc.
