Mykola Shaparenko: “In the friendly we must put what we work on into action”

- Mykola, it seems you have some old scores with Olexandr?

- That’s true. In Kyiv we also often compete after training sessions. Today I lost, but I’ll gain revenge. The prize for winner is coffee or chocolate. As I’ve lost, this time I must bring Olexandr coffee when he asks for it.

- How were the training sessions today?

- Everything is fine, we’ve got accustomed to work. The first training camp is almost over. In the morning we were focused on tactics. In the afternoon there were game exercises.

- You had a 5 vs 5 exercise with neutral players. What is it about?

- The aim is to stay in possession. We switch positions on quite small area of the field and try to pass the ball into space.

- What was the afternoon session like?

- In the afternoon we mostly had game exercises. In the next friendly we must put what we work on into action.

- What do you think of training facilities? Do you already feel lightness in your legs?

- There’s no lightness yet, there’s fatigue. As for the facilities, everything is great.

- Is it enough to play for 45 minutes to recondition?

- I think it is. It’s totally okay to play for 45 minutes at the first training camp.
