Six Dynamo players feature in 2022 World Cup qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina

On October 12, Ukraine national team played the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Lviv.

 

Four FC Dynamo representatives were in the home side starting lineup: defenders Illia Zabarnyi and Olexandr Tymchyk, halfbacks Mykola Shaparenko and Viktor Tsyhankov. The latter two were substituted with Kyivans Serhiy Sydorchuk and Serhiy Buletsa (on loan at FC Zoria Luhansk) in the second half.

In the 15th minute, Tsyhankov put accurate low cross into the penalty area from the left side and Andriy Yarmolenko made it 1:0. Now Viktor has 6 goals and 4 assists for the national team to his name.

 

Although they had a lot of scoring chances, Ukrainians didn’t manage to increase the lead while Bosnia and Herzegovina equalized in the 77th minute as Ahmedhodzic hit the target from inside the box.

So, it’s 1:1. Ukraine are still second in their group with 9 points.

 

On November 16, the Yellow-Blues will face Bosnia and Herzegovina away.
