FC Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Denys Boiko has shared his impressions of the return to Kyiv.
- Denys, you’ve been working in Kyiv for a few days already. How do you feel?
- Frankly speaking, I was really touched when we came back to Ukraine. We had everything we needed for our training process abroad, but home is something different. That really matters to me. I was looking forward to our return home, to our city. And when I came back, emotions were tearing me apart. But after some time I got accustomed to modern reality of our city.
- Are training sessions effective?
- They really are. We have two sessions a day although it’s very hot. It’s a good work.
- What about civil defense sirens?
- That’s our reality today. Armed Forces of Ukraine do everything that is possible and impossible to defend every citizen. Of course it’s impossible not to think of what’s going on. But we have to get used to it. I believe we will be victorious.
- You participated in charity matches. How important is that to you?
- First of all it’s important for the whole team and for our country as we play those matches to raise funds for Ukrainian Armed Forces, volunteers, refugees, doctors. It was important to earn money and show the world what’s going on in our country.
- What are your plans for the nearest future?
- The major plan for the future is victory of our country.
