On Tuesday, November 4, the Ukraine U16 national team (players born in 2010 or later) played the first of two scheduled friendly matches against their Italian counterparts in Firense.
In a high-scoring encounter hosts claimed victory 6:2. During the first half, after conceding three goals, the Yellow-Blues managed to respond with a strike from Illya Bodak, a forward from Rukh Lviv. Shortly after halftime Damir Honchenko of Belgian side Anderlecht reduced the deficit to 3:2 but Italy went on to score three more goals to seal the win.
Two Dynamo Kyiv players took part in the match: Artem Mazur (defender) came on as a substitute in the 53rd minute, Artur Martyniuk (forward) entered the game in the 63rd minute.
The second friendly between Ukraine U16 and Italy U16 will take place on Thursday, November 6.
