Head coach of Dynamo Ihor Kostiuk shared his impressions after meeting media representatives during the Media Game event.
– Almost immediately after returning to Kyiv the team held this event with journalists. Did you enjoy taking part in it - playing against media representatives alongside your players?
– You saw the game yourselves - everyone wanted to show what they could do. Of course our club is open to the fans and events like this prove it. There were many representatives of the press and media here today. We want to communicate and we want information to be delivered directly from the primary sources, not speculated upon or misinterpreted.
– Should such events be held as often as possible or is mutual loyalty enough - from journalists to the club and from the club to journalists? How should it work in your opinion?
– When we give interviews, journalists ask questions, as they did today, and then convey our exact words to the fans - not their own assumptions or guesses.
– Today journalists played football with you and the players. Do you think it would be a good idea to hold a similar event with fans - for players and coaches to play with or against them?
– Absolutely. We communicate with fans after matches when they come up to us and players give them shirts. But during events like this the interaction is even closer: our supporters and fans can ask questions and talk to the players directly because there is not always complete mutual understanding between fans and footballers. That’s why, in my opinion, such events are beneficial and in the future our club will also organize similar initiatives.
