Ukrainians had a good attack early in the game, but didn’t get to shoot. After that it was quite calm on the field until Kyivans opened the score in the 16th minute. The pass by Vanat wasn’t quite accurate, but after rebound Yarmolenko obtained the ball and hit the corner – 0:1.
Afterwards the game slowed down again. One can mention the shot by Shaparenko from the box line when the ball went wide.
Shortly before the break Voloshyn appeared in a promising position, but he was flagged offside.
Partizan started the second half more actively. Saldanha hit the post with a header after cross from the left side! Later Saldanha attempted after corner, but missed a bit.
Unfortunately an accident happened later as Diachuk got injured and was subbed off to Bilovar.
Halfway through the second half Vanat rushed into the penalty area and was fouled against by Markovic. Referee checked VAR and awarded penalty. Vanat converted from the spot – 0:2.
Voloshyn had a chance after low cross by Supriaha from the right wing, but hit the crossbar from close range!
