Dynamo’s head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi spoke with journalists after 3:0 win against Hamrun Spartans in the UEFA Champions league 2nd qualifying round second tie.
On the team’s physical condition and progression:
- Considering the first-leg result and our packed schedule, we made some rotations and tested different combinations. I was satisfied with the first half, but not with the start of the second – It felt like we didn’t come out of the locker room. We had agreed to maintain intensity throughout the match but that didn’t happen. We’ll analyze why.
On advancing to the next round:
- The most important thing is that we accomplished our first goal and move on to the next stage.
On preferred opponent in the next round (Maccabi or Pafos):
- I haven’t thought about that. It will be a tough match regardless of the opponent. We’ll watch the second leg tomorrow and begin preparations once we know who we’ll face.
On playing future European home matches in Lublin:
- Let’s not look too far ahead but as far as I know we’re not planning to change location. We’ll continue to play in Lublin. We already face enough travel and logistical issues playing away from our home stadium.
