FC Dynamo Kyiv faced Real Sociedad away in the Europa League matchday 6 game.
The White-Blues’ gaffer used the formation with three center backs again and only two technically attacking players. Guerrero was the only forward this time instead of Vanat.
Real Sociedad, who had five reigning champions of Europe in their lineup, took the game under control right away.
Yet visitors had the first dangerous attack of the game. Voloshyn rushed into the box down the right side and crossed to Guerrero, but goalkeeper intercepted. Meanwhile home side used their first chance. In the 19th minute Popov fouled recklessly against Oyarzabal and referee awarded penalty. Bushchan parried the shot by Real Sociedad skipper, but Oyarzabal was there with a follow-up – 1:0.
Home side could increase their lead in the following attack. Oyarzabal found Mendez, who attempted with a chip, but Bushchan didn’t let him score. Then our keeper parried the shot by Becker from the box line.
Yet the second goal happened soon anyway. Dynamo defender didn’t manage to clear the ball as Real Sociedad attacked down the center, Kubo passed to Becker, who aimed the far corner, but the ball hit Bilovar and hit the near one – 2:0.
And then Oyarzabal made it 3:0 as he received the ball inside the penalty area, approached Bushchan and hit the target.
Home side players were enjoying the game and kept attacking. Bushchan parried the shot by Kubo. Olasagasti missed a bit with a volley while Mendez bended with a free kick, but our goalkeeper saved.
Early in the second half Dynamo tried to change the situation on the field by maintaining possession, but didn’t really create any danger. Meanwhile home side didn’t rush forward to increase their lead any more.
Bushchan had some work to do only a few times, including the episode when he parried the header by Olasagasti from the six-yard box line.
Anyway the score didn’t change any more. Dynamo still don’t have a single point in this Europa League campaign. Their next game is against Galatasaray away on January 21.
