- It’s a happy day for me. I’ve joined a great club – FC Dynamo Kyiv. It’s totally new level and new story for me. I’ve come here to make headway and win trophies. It will be difficult, but I’m ready for new challenge.
- Who initiated your transfer to Dynamo? How long had scouts been following you?
- Ukrainian coach Viacheslav Hroznyi used to work with FC Dinamo Tbilisi. He recommended Kyiv side to sign me. I know that after that scouts followed me in Georgian league games and Georgia youth team matches. I didn’t hesitate when I got transfer offer. I’m thankful to Dinamo Tbilisi, where I made my first steps in big football.
- Have you already talked to Dynamo Kyiv direction? Which team will you start working with?
- I’ve talked to Dynamo president Ihor Surkis and head coach Olexandr Khatskevych. They believe in me. As far as I know, I’ll start working with youth team. I must prove I deserve playing for the first team.
- You’re injured. How long will it take you to recover?
- I hope the injury isn’t very serious. I’ll start training in three weeks.
- Will you be recovering in Kyiv?
- I’ll return to Tbilisi for several days to pack my things and say goodbye to former teammates and family. On September 5 I’ll start working in Chapaivka.
- Is centre back your major position?
- Yes, it is.
- You’re not the first representative of Georgia in Dynamo Kyiv. What do you know about your predecessors?
- First of all I remember Kakhaber Kaladze. He’s a true legend in our country, we’re all proud of him. I’d like to go his path. Kakhaber has proved there’s nothing impossible in football.
