FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has commented upon the defeat against FC Vorskla Poltava (1:2).
- Vorskla did better and thus won. There’s nothing else to say. They were very determined and aimed to succeed by all means. Besides, referee helped them a lot.
We didn’t deserve to win as we didn’t use our chances and didn’t apply proper pressure. One mistake resulted in conceded goal after which things got even more complicated.
We were nervous and fussy. Meanwhile Vorskla were doing everything they could to kill the clock. There were a lot of needless pauses.
Anyway, we’re the ones to be blamed. I take responsibility for this failure. I didn’t manage to help players recondition mentally after defeat against Barcelona. We didn’t deserve to lose that match.
