Mircea Lucescu: “I’m not satisfied with final score and the first half”

FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has commented upon the away game against FC Barcelona (0:1).

- Of course I’m not satisfied with final score and the first half. I liked the way we acted after the break and coped with fear barrier. We totally could achieve more.

Our players must realize that Champions League is the level we must aim for. This is much more aggressive football than we have in the UPL. Barcelona players are more skillful and fast, but they were also more aggressive and committed 18 fouls.

In the second half, we weren’t afraid to play and attack. There was a foul against Harmash inside the penalty area.

Early in the game we had 3 vs 1 situation, but didn’t use it. One goal changes the situation on the field.

- Why can’t Dynamo and Shakhtar score in the Champions League this season?

- Because the level of our domestic league is much lower than Champions League level. When you oppose such teams, you realize you still have a lot to work on.
