In the 20th round of the U19 National League FC Dynamo Kyiv U19 hosted FC Obolon Kyiv U19 at their training base in Vita-Lytovska.
In the first round “White-Blues” defeated their opponent convincingly (5:1). However matches against “brewers” are usually not easy for Dynamo and another tough encounter was expected for the team coached by Pavlo Cherednichenko.
Already in the 2nd minute visitors showed their intentions. After a ball was played into the penalty area Chornyi found himself one-on-one with Surkis but Dynamo goalkeeper produced a brilliant save from close range. Soon after Dynamo managed to move the game to the opponent’s half and Bekerskyi headed wide following a cross from Romaniuk.
Midway through the first half Osypenko came close to opening the scoring but his shot from the edge of the penalty area struck the post. In another moment Lobko headed over the crossbar after a cross from Andreiko. However in the 28th minute forward made amends: once again after a cross from the left by Andreiko Lobko headed the ball precisely into the corner to make it 1:0.
Obolon showed they had no intention of giving up. In the 31st minute after a low cross from the right flank the ball rolled across the entire penalty area toward the far post but Surkis came out at the right moment, narrowing the angle and preventing Nalyvaiko from finishing from a few meters.
The referee had to stop the match during the first half due to an air raid alert. After play resumed Dynamo managed to double their advantage before halftime. Following a long ball into the penalty area the visiting goalkeeper made a mistake by rushing far off his line and missing the ball, leaving Osypenko with a simple finish into an empty net – 2:0.
The second half began at a calm pace. With a comfortable two-goal lead Dynamo could patiently build their attacks without rushing while “brewers” struggled to create chances against the organized Dynamo defense.
In the 63rd minute Liusin had a great opportunity to make the score more emphatic. Midfielder met a cross from the left at close range but goalkeeper reacted well and saved the ball. Later Bekerskyi was set up in a promising position but shot over the bar and Dehtiar’s attempt was safely gathered by the keeper.
In the end Dynamo confidently saw out the match for a 2:0 victory without too much trouble. The only downside was a yellow card for Osypenko which means he will miss the next away league match against FC Oleksandriya U19.
