On Friday, October 17, Dynamo Kyiv U19 played their next match in the National U19 League against Zorya Luhansk U19. Although Dynamo were officially the away team, the game took place at their training base in Vita-Lytovska near Kyiv.
From the start Dynamo controlled possession but struggled to create clear scoring chances while Zorya defended compactly and occasionally counterattacked without much success.
Dynamo had several opportunities in the first half – Bekerkyi and Ponomarenko came close to scoring but Zorya’s goalkeeper made key saves. Just before halftime Redushko’s free-kick nearly found the net but the keeper tipped it onto the post, then stopped Ishchenko’s rebound effort.
In the second half Dynamo continued pressing. Ponomarenko scored once but the goal was disallowed for offside. Redushko and others tried their luck from set pieces, yet accuracy failed them. Zorya also had a dangerous shot from Sheremeta, well saved by Surkis in goal.
Dynamo’s final chance fell to Liusin who shot over the bar from a promising position.
Despite dominating play Dynamo couldn’t score and the match ended 0:0, meaning Dynamo dropped points in their U19 league campaign.
