FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi addressed everyone present from the stage, which was set up on the field of the Dynamo Stadium named after Valerii Lobanovskyi after the UPL matchday 30 game against FC Kolos Kovalivka (1:1).
- I would definitely like to thank everyone involved in this truly great celebration. We returned the title to our hometown, Kyiv deserves it. There is not a single person in the club who would not be recognized today. These are the stadium employees who prepare this gorgeous lawn for us, these are the people who work at the training ground and help us with everything, this is our transport department, which helps with all logistical issues, despite all the difficulties that arise when we travel to another city or another country. Thank you to all the employees of the office– they prepare a lot for us. And, of course, thank you to our supporters, because football is a game for you.
You know, 14 times I was involved as a player when the team won the Ukrainian league. Today is the first time I’m winning the title as a head coach – and this feels completely different. And this is gratitude to the president and the club management for their trust, for their support. And what’s even more pleasant is that today’s victory is our anniversary, our 30th. A victory that gives us another star. And it’s this star that we want to dedicate to our warriors, our defenders. This is a star of gratitude. In order for us to stand here today and celebrate, they are doing everything possible to ensure that there is peace in our homes. They defend our land. They protect our homes. We bow to them. This is your star, this is our gratitude to you.
And I congratulate Kyiv once again, I congratulate you once again on the victory, on the league title. And I want to remind you once again that we did it without a single defeat. Dynamo are the champion! Congratulations!
