FC Dynamo Kyiv have signed a contract with 25-year-old right-back Oleksii Sych. The contract is signed for three years with an extension option for one year.
Sych was born on April 1, 2001, in the village of Zoria, Rivne region. He is a product of the Karpaty Lviv academy, progressing rapidly from the club’s youth teams to the first team. He made his senior debut for Karpaty on March 14, 2020, in the Lviv derby against FC Lviv (1:1) in the 23rd round of the Ukrainian Premier League, starting the match.
From 2020 to 2025, Sych played for Rukh Lviv. During the 2022/23 season he spent a loan spell with Belgian side Kortrijk, making 14 appearances in the Belgian Pro League and three in the Belgian Cup.
In January 2025, he returned to Karpaty Lviv. Sych has made 87 appearances in the Ukrainian Premier League and two in the Ukrainian Cup.
Sych has also earned two caps for the Ukraine national team. He made his debut on November 19, 2024, in the UEFA Nations League match against Albania, which Ukraine won 2:1. He also featured in the Nations League play-off against Belgium (3:1) on March 20, 2025.
