Dynamo goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret commented on the victory over Universitatea in the penalty shootout and advancing to the next stage of the Europa League qualifiers.
– I believe we should have won both matches. We had the advantage, outplayed the opponent in every aspect, but football isn’t always fair—you sometimes have to suffer: playing 0–0 for 120 minutes, the guys were dealing with cramps, and taking it all the way to a penalty shootout. But the cheat sheets prepared for us by the goalkeeping coaches worked (smiles).
We should have converted our half-chances. We did manage to score two goals, but in those situations offsides were called... I believe we completely outplayed the opponent, and this victory is fully deserved.
