- Tamas, what kind of emotions do you experience?
- I’m really happy to become FC Dynamo Kyiv player. Negotiations between clubs lasted several months and now I’m finally here. I’m glad to be the player of such great club!
- What do you know about your new teammates?
- I’m acquainted with Lukasz Teodorczyk, who used to perform for Lech. I met other Dynamo players last year when Lech had a friendly against Kyiv side in Marbella. Back then I realized there are really good players in Dynamo. Everyone knows Dynamo are one of the best teams in Europe, so I’m thankful for a chance to perform for this club.
- Have you already talked to Dynamo head coach Serhiy Rebrov?
- We’ve talked several times. His wish to see me in his team was my main motivation to join Dynamo. Serhiy Rebrov has told me about Dynamo demands. It was a pleasure to talk to him, so I did what I could to make this transfer happen. It’s important to me to have a contact with coach and to communicate with him all the time. I want to start working under the charge of Rebrov as soon as possible.
- You mostly played as left back for Lech and Hungary, but in Newcastle, Roda and Diosgyori you were a centre back. Which position is the best for you?
- I like to play as centre back, but Lech had problems with left lateral, so I featured on this position. I can only say than no matter what my position is I always do my best. By the way, I played both as left lateral and centre back for Hungary.
- How can you characterize yourself as player?
- I think I’m a team player. I like smart, “intellectual” football. As for my strengths, I have good possession skills. I can also predict what happens on the field in this or that situation. I’m sure I can demonstrate my best qualities in Dynamo.
- What do you want to achieve with the White-Blues?
- Of course I want to win trophies, but first of all I must adapt to the team as soon as possible. There are a lot of good performers in Dynamo. I’ll do my best to benefit the club.
- Can you compare Polish, Hungarian and Ukrainian leagues?
- That’s difficult to do. I haven’t played in Ukraine yet. I know there are really good clubs here that feature in the Champions League and Europa League. There are no such teams as Dynamo in Hungary and Poland.
- Have you been to Ukraine before? Do you like Kyiv?
- This is my first visit to Ukraine. Unfortunately I haven’t seen much in Kyiv so far as I was busy having medical examination. Anyway I’ve come here to play football first of all.
- Are you married? Will anyone come to Kyiv with you?
- I’m not married, but maybe my girlfriend will come to Kyiv.
- Have you already picked your squad number?
- I have. My squad number is 44. Actually my favorite number is 4, but it’s not available, so I’ve decided to pick two fours.
