On Friday, February 2, FC Dynamo Kyiv played their fourth friendly at the training camp in Turkey. The White-Blues faced one of the most titled clubs of Bulgaria – PFC Levski Sofia.
Just like in previous games, this time Kyiv side used different lineups. The only goal of the match was scored by Levski hallway through the first half.
Bulgarian side had already played five friendlies before and used their key performers while Dynamo conducted a number of squad experiments.
Recently, the football community was shaken by the tragic news about the death of Levski fan Svetoslav “Svet” Ivanov Slavkov. He was a true patriot of Bulgaria and defended Europe from the moscow invasion as part of the 4th rifle separate battalion Kodak. The Ukrainian people will forever remember all those who did not remain indifferent in a difficult time for us, came to help Ukraine to defend European values, freedom and independence of our state and laid down their heads in the struggle for a peaceful life. Sincere condolences to all relatives and friends of the hero.
Early in the game possession passed from one team to another. Bulgarians threatened Kyiv side goal with set pieces one of which was quite dangerous. Cordoba attempted with a header after cross from the right side, but Neshcheret reached the ball in the upper V.
Sill Levski managed to score in one of the following attacks. Dynamo didn’t clear the ball after a set piece, Galchev obtained it, rushed past two opponents and hit the corner – 0:1. Our team tried to attempt from distance, but that wasn’t effective.
Early in the second half Andriyevskyi took a free kick, but that wasn’t really dangerous. Levski created a better chance – Galchev crossed, Ricardinho shot with a header, but missed just a bit. In a few minutes it happened again: after cross from Galchev, Ricardinho missed from inside the six-yard box somehow.
Welton rushed towards the goal and appeared one-on-one with Bushchan, but Heorhiy saved. In a while our keeper coped with the strike by El Jemili. Late in the game both sides had decent attacks, but the score didn’t change anymore.
Dynamo will play their next friendly on Thursday, February 8 – against the Latvian side Liepaja.
