On Wednesday, July 10, FC Dynamo Kyiv played their first friendly at the training camp in Austria. The White-Blues faced the 2 Bundesliga side SC Padeborn 07.
Players who recently performed for Ukraine national team featured for 30 minutes in this match while most others – for 45.
Despite the efforts of both sides the game ended in a goalless draw.
German side tried to maintain possession early in the match, but Dynamo coped with their attacks. Anyway, Kyivans created the first chance of the game as Vanat managed to shoot from inside the box, but the ball went wide.
Later Dynamo took a corner, but without significant danger. Padeborn attempted from distance, but Neshcheret parried.
Shortly before the break Padeborn took another shot, but the ball went past the far post.
Early in the second half Karavayev rushed through the wing, entered the penalty area and shot, but missed a bit. Padeborn responded with a good attack as Grimaldi tried to shoot after cross from the left side.
Lonwijk had a chance to score for Dynamo, but his shot was blocked. Set pieces by Padeborn didn’t result in anything.
So, it’s 0:0.
Dynamo will play their next game on Saturday, July 13 – against the Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
