On August 14, FC Dynamo Kyiv played a friendly against the reigning Serie A champions – Inter Milan.
By opposing top teams the White-Blues keep getting ready for the Champions League group stage.
After the game against Turkish side Fenerbahce (1:1) Kyivans faced Serie A winners. Just like in Istanbul, assistant coach Emil Caras was in charge of the team this time while Mircea Lucescu stayed in Kyiv due to health issues.
Home side applied pressure and started creating chances right away. In the 5th minute Bushchan parried the strike from Barella, but later he couldn’t save the team as the halfback hit the bottom corner.
Calhanoglu attempted with a free kick, Sensi missed from the penalty area line. 34 minutes into the game Dzeko appeared one-on-one with Bushchan, eluded our keeper and made it 2:0.
Late in the first half visitors had some opportunities, but Liedniev, Rodrigues and Ramirez missed.
Inter kept attacking after the break. Barella attempted twice, but Boiko, who substituted Bushchan, did a good job. Still in the 60th minute Denys didn’t manage to save the team as Sensi scored from inside the box.
Italian side could increase the lead, but Dimarco hit the bar and Boiko parried the strike by D’Ambrosio.
So, Dynamo lose and definitely have stuff to think of before the Champions League group stage.
