FC Dynamo Kyiv defender Tomasz Kedziora has shared his impressions of the home game against FC Bayern Munich (1:2).
- Tomasz, Dynamo have played a decent game against one of the best clubs in the world. What was Mircea Lucescu’s plan?
- I think we did better in the second half as before the break we lacked concentration in some episodes and thus conceded twice. On the other hand, we also had a good opportunity as the ball hit the post. Besides I think referee should have awarded penalty for the foul against Buialskyi.
We tried to stick to Mister’s plan. We have very experienced coach, who opposed such teams a lot. I guess the second half was better.
We tried to create chances, but unfortunately didn’t use them.
- You feature for the national team together with Robert Lewandowski. Did Mircea Lucescu discuss how to oppose him with you?
- He didn’t. Mister knows that kind of stuff very well. I guess everyone knows how Lewandowski plays. He’s strong, tough and fast. He showed what he’s capable of when scoring the first goal.
- Does he deserve the Ballon d’Or?
- He does. I think he was supposed to get it last year, but the competition was cancelled. Now he scores almost in every game. I think he deserves this award.
- Did you talk to Robert during or after the game?
- He said today we did much better than in Munich. Of course Bayern had lineup issues due to COVID, but generally we played decently.
