Dynamo youth football school coaches never cease their professional progress. U16 and U17 groups coaches Pavlo Cherednichenko and Andriy Fartushniak have had internship at the Italian side Atalanta BC. Pavlo Cherednichenko has shared his impressions of the one-week course:
- The internship was taking place at Atalanta training ground in Bergamo. Andriy Fartushniak and I followed the training process of academy groups, U19 team and first team. Every day we met representatives of different departments, scouts, youth coaches, coordinators, goalkeeper coaches etc.
Mornings we had theory classes. Home side told us about their players, demonstrated different presentations. Afternoons we could talk to coaches on the field. We followed U16 and U17 groups, U19 team and the first team. Atalanta have four artificial fields and three natural ones. All teams are training on them.
- Does Atalanta training process differ from the one you have in Dynamo a lot?
- It has turned out they do a lot of exercises the same way we do. We’ve notice they lay significant emphasis on fitness separately from training sessions. This is so-called pre-training. After sessions, players work out at the gym. All age groups use the first team formation (3-5-2).
That’s totally natural as the major task of the club is to raise a player, sell him and invest money into training facility. Herewith, there’s supposed to be a new player, who replaces the one that leaves.
It was really nice to meet Ukraine international Ruslan Malinovskyi, who shared his experience, told about the club, showed us some places not everyone is allowed to see.
- What has impressed you most of all?
- We went to Atalanta first team match against Verona. The atmosphere at the stadium was incredible. People support their teams so passionately. Besides, local pubs are totally crowded. Lots of fans watch football there.
We also attended Atalanta U19 cup match against Cagliari. Bergamo side won on penalties. That was really exciting.
