Ukraine U18/19 national team (players born in 2008), coached by Oleksandr Sytnyk, continued their campaign in the first qualifying round for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship 2027.
Following a narrow 1:2 defeat to hosts Finland Ukraine faced the Czech Republic U19 in their second Group A3 match and suffered another loss, this time 1:3.
Ukraine conceded early with Jadrinček opening the scoring for the Czech side in the opening minutes. “Blue and Yellows” responded before halftime, equalizing through Zudin, who converted a penalty. However in the second half the Czech Republic regained control: Janega restored the lead while Frolík added a third goal in stoppage time
All three representatives of FC Dynamo Kyiv took part in the match: Pavlo Liusin (midfielder) – started, played full match, team captain; Danylo Ohorodnik (defender) – started, played full match; Ivan Andreiko (forward) – came on as a substitute in the 79th minute.
Ukraine will play their final match of the qualifying round against Estonia on Tuesday, March 31, with kick-off at 13:00. The team will aim to finish the group stage on a positive note after two consecutive defeats.
