On August 8, FC Dynamo Kyiv will face FC Zoria Luhansk in Zaporizhia.
The game will start at 19:30 at the Slavutych-Arena. It will be broadcasted by UNIAN TV channel.
Preparations and start of the season
Dynamo
As far as their matchday 1 game against FC Mynai was postponed, FC Dynamo Kyiv got one extra week to get ready for the season and used it for the third summer training camp. During the pre-season period, the White-Blues worked in three countries – Switzerland, France and Austria. Besides they played a friendly against Fenerbahce in Istanbul on August 4.
Generally Mircea Lucescu’s men had 12 friendlies this summer (W-5, D-5, L-2, goal difference – 26:16).
Dynamo have signed several newcomers –Vladyslav Kulach, Denys Antiukh, Illia Shkurin and Eric Ramirez.
Kyivans’ first UPL match of the season was the home game against FC Veres Rivne. Our team won 4:0 due to goals by Popov, Harmash, Tymchyk and Tsyhankov.
Zoria
At first Viktor Skrypnyk’s men had a training camp in Zaporizhia, where they played two friendlies against FC Oleksandria (3:3 and 2:2). Then they worked for three weeks in Turkey. They had five friendlies within this period of time (W-3, D-1, L-1).
Right before the season start, Luhansk side played final friendly – against SC Dnipro-1. They won 1:0.
Early in the UPL season, Zoria lost against Oleksandria (0:1) and flattened FC Inhulets Petrove (5:1).
