FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Rukh Lviv away within the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 9.
Mircea Lucescu decided to apply lineup rotation in this game. Thus Illia Zabarnyi, Serhiy Sydorchuk and Mykola Shaparenko stayed at the bench.
Home side laid emphasis on orderly defense and didn’t even try to have some counterattacks. This tactics was quite effective early in the game despite Dynamo pressure.
Still the situation changed when Martyniuk fouled against Harmash inside the box and referee awarded penalty. Tsyhankov hit the target from the spot.
Rukh continued playing defensively, but in ten minutes Kyivans increased the lead. Tymchyk put a low cross into the penalty area and Harmash sent the ball into the bottom corner.
Although the score was supposed to make Rukh attack, it seemed they didn’t really hope to score. Dynamo totally controlled the situation on the field.
Hallway through the second half, match tempo decreased and both coaches made substitutions. Vitinho was active in the left side, but didn’t manage to hit the target in several episodes. Harmash could get a brace to his name, but Bilyi didn’t let him go one-on-one with goalkeeper with a help of foul.
Rukh dared to attack only late in the game, but attempts by Talles and Kondrakov went wide.
So, it’s 2:0. Dynamo remain on the top of the UPL table.
