On Sunday, July 2, Ukraine U21 played the Euro-2023 quarterfinal against France.
Two FC Dynamo Kyiv players were in the Yellow-Blues’ starting lineup – left back Kostiantyn Vivcharenko and midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko. Both played the whole match.
France opened the score early in the first half, but Ukraine didn’t give up. Sudakov scored twice before the break.
In the second half our team didn’t let victory slip away and even made it 3:1 as Bondarenko hit the target late in the game.
Thus Ukraine reach the semifinal and will face Spain. The match will take place on July 5. It also should be mentioned that by securing the spot in top four the Yellow-Blues gave qualified for the Olympic Games for the first time ever.
