Vladyslav Dubinchak: «I’m happy to be back after such a long time without playing»

Defender of Dynamo Kyiv Vladyslav Dubinchak commented on the 3:1 victory over Zorya Luhansk in Matchday 24 of the Ukrainian Premier League:

— Positive emotions — we won today. I’m happy to be back because I hadn’t played for such a long period.

— You started today’s match in the starting lineup. What were your emotions when you found out?

— I was happy. I spoke with the head coach and he told me I would play today so I prepared for it. It’s great that we won so emotions are positive.

— Did the conceded goal affect you and the team?

— Of course it did because we came out with one game plan and, when you concede, it changes. So we adapted to what was happening on the pitch. It didn’t always work immediately so we needed a bit more time.

— Did you feel that you would eventually come back into the game? The advantage in play seemed significant.

— Yes, but sometimes you create chances and don’t convert them. So there was more concern about taking our chances.

— How important is this victory considering previous unsuccessful results?

— Very important, especially before the Cup match. Positive emotions are very much needed right now.

— What can you say about the upcoming match against Bukovyna Chernivtsi in the Ukrainian Cup semifinal?

— We will try to win and reach the final. Bukovyna will also try to beat us. I think it will be a very important game for both teams and an interesting one.
