FC Dynamo Kyiv winger Vladyslav Kabayev answered journalists’ questions after the game against FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
- We knew who we’d oppose and even if we were 10 points behind that wouldn’t change anything. We made certain mistakes before the break while in the second half we did better and had to use our chances.
The problem is that we lost a lot of points in the first part of the season. It was bitter to lose today, especially considering that this was my first game of the kind.
Everyone was upset in the locker-room no matter what they say.
- Shakhtar players started having cramps in the 75th minute. Few teams bring them to such a state…
- Shakhtar always play with the ball, but today Traore had to help the team defend. We were doing better than Shakhtar in the second half. Yes, we’ve lost, but there’re usually few chances in such games. I had a half-chance I didn’t finish. There’s stuff to work on. I’m 28 but I always aim at progress. Just like our whole team.
We want to win the league, but this season we failed to. I won’t discuss refereeing, it’s our fault we lost a lot of points earlier in the season.
- Speaking about your half-chances. Do you mean the episodes when it seemed you were in a position to shoot, but didn’t?
- There was one shot in the first half, but Riznyk did a good job. In the second half I was constantly looking for a perfect chance. I need to watch the game later. That’s true, why don’t I shoot? Every shot is a chance for a rebound or something. Such half-chances are vital. In the first half someone shot and won a penalty. Maybe if I shot the same could happen.
