FC Dynamo Kyiv forward Vladyslav Vanat has shared his impressions of the Champions League second qualifying round second leg against FK Partizan Belgrade (3:0).
- Congrats, Vladyslav. How’re you feeling having gone through the second qualifying round?
- I’m feeling very positive. We’ve happy to reach the next stage and win both games against this opponent. Our motivation was unbelievable.
- Was it difficult to focus on the second leg after the first one?
- We knew we were four goals in front, but that didn’t really matter as we had to flatten this team.
- How did you decide who takes the penalty?
- I asked Buialskyi and Yarmolenko if I could take it. They were okay with that which I’m grateful for.
- Did you discuss how important this win for Ukraine is?
- Sure, we all read the news. Things were really intense on the social media, so it’s great we’ve won so lopsidedly.
- Now you’re to face Rangers. Have you watched any of their games already?
- Not yet, but tomorrow we’ll start getting ready for Rangers.
- Do you feel Dynamo are in their best shape already?
- I guess preparations are still on as the domestic league season hasn’t started yet. We’re all doing the best we can. First games are tough, but we’ll be getting better.
- How did the team support Maksym Diachuk who got injured?
- He wasn’t in the locker-room. As far as I understand he went to the hospital. When he was leaving the pitch we told him to stay strong. We wish him speedy recovery.
