FC Dynamo Kyiv halfback Andrii Yarmolenko has told about the game against FC Polissia Zhytomyr and shared his expectations of the match against SC Dnipro-1:
- The mood is always positive after you win. We did a good job and beat Polissia confidently. Today we had a kind of recovery session. We’re reconditioning and getting ready for the next game.
- Volodymyr Brazhko has got back to work. What does this mean to the team?
- We’ve got about 25 players and each is ready to take the field. Of course Volodymyr Brazhko has become an important player for Dynamo, so his return will benefit us.
- What do you think of Dynamo performances in the second part of the season so far?
- There were some good and bad matches. If we want to win the league, we can’t lose points in games like the one against LNZ when we were 1:0 in front and totally controlled the situation, but drew 1:1, or against Veres when we let victory slip away late in the match.
- They say that the game against Polissia was exemplary in terms of defensive and attacking consistency, do you agree with that?
- It’s hard to say whether that was our best game, but we really did well both in terms of attack and defense against such a good team as Polissia. Besides, we wanted to gain revenge for the defeat in the first round.
- What do you expect of the match against Dnipro-1?
- Tough game, I guess. Both sides have certain goals. Our games against Dnipro-1 have never been easy for anyone. Every match is like a final for us these days. If we lose points, we can forget about the title.
- You haven’t played in Dnipro yet after your return to Dynamo. What are your memories of this city?
- The atmosphere at the stadiums we had back then differs a lot from what we have today. But we must play football no matter what.
- Fans support you every time you take the field. Do you feel that?
- Sure, I feel their support. That’s why I came back home. I love and respect them, so I’ll keep doing the best I can to bring them joy.
