Midfielder of Dynamo Kyiv Bohdan Redushko shared his impressions on Football Hub after the victory over Zorya Luhansk (3:1) in Matchday 24 of the Ukrainian Premier League.
– Let’s probably start with your goal – a scissor kick. Do you practice such strikes?
– We do. I scored a similar goal about a year ago and it’s great that I managed to score again this time.
– Dynamo conceded an early goal again. Were you worried that the scenario of the match against Karpaty might repeat?
– Yes, there was some concern because we conceded early again. But this was a completely different game. We analyzed the match against Karpaty and already knew how to attack afterward.
– In previous matches your team dominated but couldn’t really get into the penalty area. Today there were many moments when the ball got into the box and you managed to shoot and create danger…
– You saw it yourself – we attacked a lot, had many corners. We didn’t score from a corner but flanks worked very well, just as the coach emphasized before the match. That’s why the game was completely different compared to the one against Metalist 1925.
– What adjustments were made after lost matches to improve the situation and create more dangerous chances?
– We understood that we had to win because it was a home game. Our next match is in the Cup so we gained confidence ahead of it. Now the main thing is to get a positive result in Ternopil and then return home to prepare for next matches.
– There were several practiced set-piece combinations today. Can you comment on the instructions from Buialskii and Dubinchak who were trying to guide you during the game?
– Dubinchak helps a lot because he’s an experienced player – especially with positioning and small details. The same goes for Buialskii. They are experienced players so it’s easier to play with them on the pitch because they give a lot of guidance.
