Kristian Bilovar: “The team will look better with each subsequent match”

Dynamo defender Kristian Bilovar shared his expectations ahead of the first match of the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round against PAOK.

– In the return match against Universitatea you suffered an injury. Are you ready to play in the upcoming match?

– As you can see, I’m here, preparing for the game. I trained throughout the entire week, so fortunately, everything is fine.

– After the match against Universitatea, there were opinions that Dynamo was not fully ready physically. Is that really the case? What measures were taken to prevent such problems?

– We played 120 minutes – that is always difficult regardless of the level of preparation. Besides, it was only our second official match of the season. The team is not yet at its peak physical condition, but everything is still ahead. Physical fitness is gained through matches. The team will look better with each subsequent match.

– In the previous home match, the away section was quite active. How does that affect the players? Did you feel that the match was really nominally a home game?

– There is a war going on in Ukraine, and we do not pay much attention to that aspect. For us, it is already a celebration to go out and play in front of so many fans. Of course, we would all like to see as many of our supporters as possible in the stands.

– What strengths and weaknesses of PAOK can you point out?

– We analyzed the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses together with the coaching staff, so let that remain within the team. I can say that PAOK are a more difficult opponent. We are preparing, and I hope that our fans will see that we have done it successfully.

– Until recently Tomasz Kędziora played for PAOK. What did he tell you about this team?

– That information concerns our strategy for the match so for now we will keep it a secret.
