Dynamo’s central defender Kristian Bilovar shared his emotions after win against Hamrun Spartans (3:0) on the second tie of UEFA Champions League 2nd qualifying round.
On the 3:0 win over Hamrun Spartans (6:0 on aggregate):
- It’s always satisfying to keep a clean sheet. That’s the result of the entire team’s and coaching staff’s work, not just the defenders.
On playing the first nominal home match in Lublin:
- Yes, we felt the support from the stands. But even in Malta many Ukrainian fans came to support us. Still Lublin feels like home now – although our ultimate goal is to return to Ukraine and play European matches there.
On the team’s improved pace in the second leg:
- We’ve only played two official matches since the summer training camp. With every game we’re finding our rhythm and gradually increasing our tempo.
On the disallowed goal:
- Honestly I didn’t even celebrate – I couldn’t believe I’d finally scored. It was unfortunate the goal was canceled but I believe my time will come. It would’ve been my first but I’ll keep working for it.
On the upcoming Ukrainian league match vs. Veres and a tight schedule:
- Of course it’s not easy to play every few days, especially with all the travel. But we have no choice. We’re preparing seriously for every game. We have a deep squad and made a lot of substitutions today. I think we’re ready to handle the schedule.
On potential next opponents – Maccabi or Pafos:
- It makes no difference to me. Both are strong teams at this stage. Whoever we face we’ll need full focus and serious preparation.
