The Matchday 17 VBET League game in which FC Dynamo Kyiv hosted FC Rukh Lviv and secured a 1:0 victory was a special one for defender Maksym Korobov.
The 19-year-old player was included in the first-team squad for a Ukrainian Premier League match for only the second time. His first call-up came in March 2025 for a game against FC Zorya Luhansk though he did not make an appearance on that occasion. This time however he was named in the starting lineup.
Korobov played 80 minutes and was involved in the attacking move that led to the decisive goal scored by Matvii Ponomarenko. Additionally one of the young Dynamo defender’s shots struck the post with only the woodwork denying him a goal.
It is worth noting that this season Korobov has made 13 appearances for Dynamo’s U19 team in the National U19 League.
