The international аnаlytical organization CIES Football Observatory has released a new ranking of most efficient footballers in the world under the age of 21. The list is based on goals and assists per 90 minutes among players from 50 leading leagues.
Topping the ranking is Dynamo's forward Matvii Ponomarenko who has shown the best efficiency among all players included. The Ukrainian forward averages 1.07 goal contributions per match, outperforming even one of world football’s brightest young talents - Lamine Yamal of FC Barcelona who ranks second with 1.01.
Third place is shared by Andrej Kostić of FK Partizan and Milan Rehuš of FC Košice, both with a score of 0.92.
This season Ponomarenko has made 20 appearances for Dynamo’s first team, scoring 14 goals and providing 2 assists. He has also already made his debut for the Ukraine national football team, recording 2 caps and 1 goal.
