FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi has commented upon the away win in the UPL matchday 24 game:
- Congrats to our fans on this win. I want to thank our defenders for the chance to play. Today we had lasting air raid alarms. Maybe the pauses were beneficial for us. We were supposed to score in the first half as we had chances. We demonstrated our character, persistence and responsibility for the teammate who got two unnecessary yellow cards.
As for Neshcheret, he had a fever. The same happened to Syrota.
- Are you satisfied with the job the team did after the draw against LNZ? This was a tough win.
- Some games don’t go to your scenario. That’s what happened in the match against LNZ. We had to win, but unfortunately one mistake influenced the final score.
We prepared for the match against thoroughly. We had some opportunities we didn’t use. Then two bookings happened that changed everything. We had to change our formation and look for our chances in counterattacks.
During the breaks I ensured the team we would have our opportunities. I want to thank guys for their diligence. That’s how you win games and not just games.
