FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Olexandr Shovkovskyi answered media questions after the away game against FC Veres Rivne (1:1):
- It’s bitter to lose points in final seconds of the match. Today I didn’t see the dedication I expected from our players. Unfortunately, we haven’t managed to secure the win although we subbed defenders in knowing that home side would cause troubles for our defense.
- Could you please comment upon substitutions? Do you agree it wasn’t a good idea to sub Benito in?
- The whole team wins, draws or loses, so I won’t focus on anyone in particular. Today we didn’t have a long bench and couldn’t change much in the midfield. Brazhko is suspended, Yarmolenko is recovering, Tsarenko and Supriaha are also unavailable. Anyway, players, who took the field today, are on the team. We must be more confident. Early in the second half we maintained possession, but then let it slip away for some reason.
- Dynamo opened the score early. Was it your plan or maybe you were going to focus on counterattacks?
- I don’t think there’s a coach, who tells his players to concede first. What I want to say is that today we didn’t look like ourselves, so the outcome is natural.
