FC Dynamo Kyiv caretaker manager Olexandr Shovkovskyi answered journalists’ questions after the UPL matchday 25 away win against FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih (1:0):
- I wish you all peaceful afternoon and evening. We thank our warriors defending Ukraine and thus letting us play. We realize what might expect us in the upcoming days as aggression of our neighbors usually increased on this kind of dates.
As for the game, it was our third away match in a row. That wasn’t easy. I’d like to thank players for their dedication. We know Yuriy Vernydub’s teams play aggressive football with a lot of scrimmage. Thus we had no right to lack behind in terms of motivation and attitude.
- Do you agree Dynamo were lucky in certain episodes?
- Luck is relative in football. Later in the game we had chances to increase the lead. We’ll see if we were lucky after we analyze the match in detail. One needs to deserve luck, at least with dedication and attitude.
- There are different rumors concerning Dynamo coaching situations. Some call you Lucescu’s heir. What do you think of that?
- I understand you want insider information, but what I care about is getting my team ready. I’m saying “my team” as there’s two teams in my live – Dynamo and Ukraine. Now I’m with Dynamo and that’s what interests me. Things you ask of can never be heard from inside the team no matter how hard you try.
What I can tell about is how we were getting ready for the game. By the way, the goal you saw today is something we practice. That’s why I suggest asking questions about the match. No one knows what happens.
