FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi summarized the victory against FC Polissia Zhytomyr at the post-match press conference.
- Congrats to Dynamo supporters. I want to thank our warriors for the chance to play. We’ve got three important points and we’re moving on. Nothing is over yet. Every game is like a final one.
- Is there anything your players haven’t managed to fulfill today?
- I always want them to stick to our agreements, to switch tactics properly, to perform certain technical actions. That can’t be perfect. There’s always a room for improvement, but today we did a lot of stuff right. I want to thank guys for their attitude, motivation and discipline. That’s what makes you enjoy the work you do. Tomorrow they’ll have a day off, but we have a tight schedule, so those who played less or didn’t play at all will do some running.
- What did you emphasize before the game – the fact that Polissia haven’t been doing well lately of the fact that they beat you in the first round?
- We don’t care about the past. We focus on each opponent’s tactics, teamwork, motion, organization, set pieces peculiarities. We shouldn’t look into the future and be obsessed with what happened. We want to move forward and face our future.
- How is Brazhko doing?
- As I said, he’s got sick. So far he’s not even practicing. But he’s getting better, so I hope he’ll get back to work on Tuesday. We’ll see.
