FC Dynamo Kyiv caretaker manager Olexandr Shovkovskyi answered journalists’ questions after away win (2:1) against FC Vorskla Poltava in the UPL matchday 24 game.
- We knew which qualities our opponent would be trying to use. Unfortunately, early in the game we made a mistake we discussed. Still we continued to stick to our plan and generally I’m satisfied with our play and motivation. We knew our major competitors won their games, so we couldn’t fail.
- Did you pick the lineup or Lucescu? Did you receive instructions from Lucescu during the match?
- I’m not telling that. But of course we constantly keep in touch with the head coach. We talked this morning, last afternoon and last evening. We hope he will get well really soon. As for decisions, they’re made with the situation on the field taken into account.
- Dynamo looked quite confused in the first half. What’s the reason? Do you think the first half was a failure?
- I don’t think it was. Of course there were some mistakes, but after the break we mostly did what we agreed upon.
