FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Olexandr Shovkovskyi answered media questions after the game against FC Zoria Luhansk.
- First of all I’d like to say I’m grateful that this game happened. It happened due to our defenders, who protect our country. I hope well be able to give them positive emotions.
- Did the weather impact the game a lot?
- Of course it did. As for the game plan... Players were trying to demonstrate what we agreed upon although there were some issues. It was tough, but we were trying to apply pressing, maintain possession and control the situation. I think we’ve succeeded.
- Are you satisfied with the performance by Taras Mykhavko? Is he the first team regular already?
- What do you mean by “the first team regular”? We have a starting lineup, but the first team includes 27 players. We pick the first eleven before the game, depending upon different circumstances. I can say that Taras has got totally accustomed to our requirements. Of course his young age gives him the opportunity for further progress and we do our best to help him and all other players. I always tell guys they must be the best version of themselves first of all. If they percept the information properly, they’ll be getting better.
- Now Dynamo are going to have a break in the UPL. Are you going to play any friendlies? There were rumors about an international friendly in Nürnberg…
- To play friendlies we need a certain number of players. As of today we don’t plan any games of the kind. We’ll see how many guys stay. So far Yarmolenko, Tsarenko, Buialskyi, Supriaha, Malysh and Ihnatenko aren’t training with the team. 12 players have joined national teams. Besides, Tymchyk has been called up as well.
