Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret shared his thoughts ahead of the UEFA Conference League main round match against Turkish side Samsunspor.
– Dynamo are being criticized a lot right now. How do the players deal with that?
– I think the criticism is fair because you can see the results yourselves. But I believe there are matches where the ball just doesn’t go in for us while it does for our opponents. You could say we’re going through a bit of a rough patch. In the league we’re not losing but we’re not winning either.
I think we played our last game at quite a high level – we just weren’t lucky. But as a team we’re professionals. We have to do our job, ignore the criticism and keep doing the things that previously brought us results.
– In four out of the last five matches you lost your lead in the final minutes. What do you think is the reason?
– Usually that happens because we lose concentration in the final minutes. We concede in situations where we simply shouldn’t.
