Dynamo’s central defender Taras Mykhavko shared his impressions of the Matchday 4 game of the main stage of the UEFA Conference League in which our team lost to Cypriot side Omonia (0:2):
– How did you support Denys Popov after the episode with the penalty awarded in the first half?
– Of course we supported him. This is football and everyone makes mistakes. It happened that Denys accidentally caught the opponent and a penalty was given.
– What would you like to say to fans given the recent results?
– It’s hard to say anything because we’ve had negative results for the last two months. Something just isn’t right. You could say it’s a bad streak. I can’t even explain what exactly is wrong. We work, we train… Honestly, it’s hard to say anything.
– Was the second conceded goal a result of the team pushing forward while the opponents counterattacked?
– Yes, of course. We were attacking and wanted to equalize but we conceded from a counterattack. It happened that they scored.
– What was supposed to change in the second half?
– We came out determined to come back but it didn’t work out. We are all disappointed and we understand that something is wrong and something needs to change.
