FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Veres Rivne in the UPL matchday 14 game. Although the match took place in Kyiv, the White-Blues were technically the away side.
Mircea Lucescu’s men succeeded 1:0 as Viktor Tsyhankov scored the only goal of the game in the first half.
The start wasn’t really intense although Dynamo were more active. They took some set pieces and had a number of combinations, but without real danger.
Anyway, eventually Tsyhankov put Kyivans in front as he attempted from distance and hit the bottom corner accurately.
Veres were doing better in the second part of the first half as they took several corners, but Bushchan coped with that. Lonwijk took a free kick decently, but the ball went over the bar.
Dynamo were mostly in possession after the break too. Sydorchuk shot after low cross from Tymchyk, but missed. Veres responded with dangerous strike by Dakhnovskyi after cross from the right side. Andriyevskyi appeared in a promising position after good attack with the participation of Tsyhankov and Karavayev, but failed to shoot properly. Buialskyi could succeed from a tight angle, but didn’t.
Generally our team attacked a lot, but didn’t manage to increase the lead. So, it’s 1:0 for Dynamo.
