FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Chornomorets Odesa away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 4 game.
Before the match both sides had six points in the league table, but Dynamo played one game less.
Two previous matches against Chornomorets in Odesa were a success for the White-Blues. This time they started pretty well too, but didn’t really create scoring chances for quite a while.
Home side had a decent opportunity as Sport attempted from outside the box, but Tymchyk blocked his strike. Vanat found his chance after pass from Yarmolenko, but hit the woodwork.
20 minutes into the game Avahimyan used inaccurate clearance by Shaparenko, eluded Buialskyi and hit the corner – 1:0.
Dynamo really got to business seriously only shortly before the break. Voloshyn found Shaparenko in the left wing, Mykola rushed into the box and aimed at the far corner form a tight angle, but missed a bit. In the following attack Vanat attempted from inside the penalty area, but goalkeeper parried.
Early in the second half visitors equalized. Shaparenko passed to Yarmolenko after fast attack and Andriy hit the corner one-touch – 1:1.
Still Chornomorets stepped in front again quite quickly. Home side keeper performed a goal kick, Diachuk didn’t clear the ball properly, Shtohrin appeared one-on-one with Neshcheret and scored on his second attempt – 2:1.
Mircea Lucescu’s men didn’t give up and equalized again. Vanat obtained the ball in attacking half, found Sydorchuk and Dynamo skipper netted it from the penalty spot area – 2:2.
Our team rushed forward and attempted four (!) times in one attack. At first Shevchenko saved and then the shots by Karavayev (two) and Yarmolenko were blocked.
In the 83rd minute visitors got outnumbered as Syrota got his second booking of the game and was sent off.
Chornomorets used this opportunity. Sporn appeared one-on-one against Neshcheret and passed to Iyede, who hit the open goal – 3:2.
So, Dynamo lose points in the UPL for the first time this season. The White-Blues will play their next domestic league game on September 2 – against Zoria.
