FC Dynamo Kyiv hosted FC Vorskla Poltava in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 7 game.
Last time the White-Blues played a domestic league match almost a month ago – against FC Chornomorets Odesa (2:3) while afterwards games against FC Veres Rivne and FC Zoria Luhansk were postponed for various reasons.
Thus Kyivans were really active early in the game, especially Voloshyn in the left wing. 5 minutes into the game Vanat found him with accurate heel pass and Nazar made it 1:0.
Having opened the score the White-Blues continued pressing. Vorskla keeper parried the shot by Dubinchak. Vanat obtained the ball in front of the penalty spot, but missed somehow. In the 20th minute Vanat netted the ball after head pass from Bilovar, but upon checking VAR referee disallowed this goal due to offside. Right before the break Vladyslav could get the second assist to his name, but Yarmolenko missed.
Early in the second half both sides exchanged chances. Yarmolenko didn’t score in one-on-one situation, but anyway was offside, while Kane hit the post.
Mircea Lucescu’s men kept attacking. Vanat attempted from a tight angle while Kabayev hit the post after eluding the defender.
