FC Dynamo Kyiv caretaker manager Olexandr Shovkovskyi has commented upon the away win against FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih (2:0):
- It wasn’t easy. We got into a situation when we couldn’t gain points we need so much. That’s why Mircea Lucescu decided to resign. First of all, we needed to help guys mentally, to boost their desire to play football. There were some mistakes, in some episodes we were lucky, but I think we’ve won deservedly. Kryvbas were top of the league and I suppose they’ll keep demonstrating decent performances. We had no right to be worse it terms of motivation and dedication today.
- What do you think of the red card for Beskorovainyi early in the game? Wouldn’t a yellow be enough?
- We have institutions responsible for that. That was a really interesting episode. We believe it was definitely a red card, Kryvbas probably think a yellow would have been enough. For instance, I don’t think Vanat should have been booked as he just slipped, while Kryvbas defender didn’t get a yellow for the foul against Tymchyk. Anyway, we have VAR who can help referee decide.
- Your team was a kind of gentle in the first half. Was this about your plane or the turf quality?
- You think we were gently while I think we were aggressive.
- Do you think it’s fair to kill the intrigue so early in the matchday top game?
- I believe referees should focus on fouls, not on the intrigue. If it’s a foul, referee should demonstrate a corresponding card. It’s as simple as that.
- You took charge of the team in a difficult time. Has anything already changed and what is your goal?
- I guess you’d better ask players about it. The situation is not easy, but the goal of the club is still the same – to win the league.
- How’s Mykola Shaparenko doing?
- Unfortunately he got injured in the game against Kolos. I hope he’ll start individual sessions soon.
