FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 14 game.
After defeat against Shakhtar (0:1) in the previous game, Mircea Lucescu resigned from the post of Dynamo head coach while Olexandr Shovkovskyi became a caretaker manager. The White-Blues had four-game winless streak, so they didn’t have a room for another mistake.
Dynamo weren’t really aggressive early in the game, but still managed to open the score in the 8th minute. Tymchyk put a low cross into the penalty area, defender didn’t reach the ball, Vanat obtained it and hit the bottom corner.
Anyway this wasn’t the last trouble for the home side. Beskorovainyi committed a desperate foul against Vanat and was sent off.
After that Dynamo got more active and increased their lead halfway through the first half. Karavayev dispossessed Riabov, rushed into the box and netted the ball.
Kryvbas tried to counterattack, attempted from distance, won a few corners, but didn’t succeed.
Dynamo continued attacking after the break. Kabayev shot from distance, but missed a bit. Tsarenko aimed at the far corner, but the ball went wide too.
The White-Blues didn’t let home side create a lot of opportunities and had quite dangerous counterattacks. Karavayev had a chance to score another one, but was unlucky.
Later Bushchan saved Dynamo after Kryvbas took another corner. Dubinchak could increase the lead as well, but missed the top corner.
So, it’s 2:0 – Dynamo cease the winless streak that included four games. Kyiv side will play the next match on November 26 – against Rukh at the home ground.
